Sutro - Older than Reno, this storied neighborhood once went by the name Auburn in the 1800s. North McCarran nearly became the site for the 1960s built Interstate 80 Freeway. You can still find quarts tailings from the failed gold mill but you won't find any gold because the whole thing was a scam to take money from British investors.
